Friday night, just before eight. The kitchen is full, the tablet beeps non-stop. A good night. Until the invoice arrives.
Our founder knows these nights from the inside. He spent many years working in and running hotels and restaurants: at the front desk, in the kitchen, in the back office at month end. He saw hosts work fourteen hours a day, and a large share of their revenue go to platforms that neither cook nor know the guests.
He is also an IT specialist. At some point he asked himself a simple question: why should a guest who already knows their favourite restaurant order through a detour that costs the restaurant up to 30 percent?
That is how orderbell started. An ordering shop of its own for every restaurant, with its own name, its own regulars and fair prices. Set up by people who know what a full Saturday night feels like, and who pick up the phone when something goes wrong.
By restaurateurs, for restaurateurs. So that what you earn stays with you.
